Public-sector collaboration under an MOU to advance IP valuation, commercialization and responsible digital-asset models for Thailand’s creative economy.
FLIPS has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Intellectual Property, Thailand, to support the development of practical models for transforming intellectual property into commercially usable digital assets. The collaboration includes the development of the Flips IP platform, with an initial focus on helping Thai artists, music labels and creators improve the valuation, commercialization and financing potential of music copyrights and other intellectual-property assets.
The initiative explores multiple pathways for unlocking value from intellectual property, including professional valuation, the use of assessed rights as collateral for bank financing, and the issuance of digital tokens through appropriately licensed channels. These models may include utility-based participation, such as access to exclusive content or artist experiences, as well as regulated investment structures linked to revenue generated by intellectual-property rights.
The collaboration reflects a broader objective of improving access to capital for Thai creators, strengthening the commercial value of intellectual property and enabling fan communities to participate more meaningfully in the growth of the creative economy. Any regulated issuance, fundraising or financial service would be undertaken subject to applicable laws and through appropriately licensed or authorized partners.
